@In the era of evidence-based medicine, clinical practice guidelines (CPG) have become an integral task of each academic society, and council for the dental care of this society also performed a preliminary survey preparing for CPG for the magnetic attachments.
@ Generally the formulation of CPG consists of clinical questions (CQ) and corresponding answers which were synthetically recommended by evidences from the concerning articles, doctorsf skill and patients conditions. Therefore the committee sent preliminary questionnaires for CQ by E-mail to the present and former council members of this society. The form of CQ was provided with the word Patient, Intervention, Comparison and Outcome with some sample questions.
As a result, above 70 answers and more than 100 CQ were returned. We classified every CQ into 5 categories according to their application. The ratio of the numbers of each category was 14%; implants, 39%; type of defect, 9%; occlusion, 21%; arrangement and configuration, 18%; management or others respectively.
The committee is planning to increase surveyed clinicians and select exact and typical CQ for CPG according to the GRADE group system.
